Stop telling trans boys that they are rejecting femininity.
Stop telling trans boys that they will always relate to being a female because of their assigned sex.
Stop telling trans boys that you support them when you still misgender them.
Stop asking trans boys why they can’t just be tomboys or why labels matter so much to them.
Stop ignoring trans boys when they tell you they don’t want to wear girls’ clothes anymore.
Stop trying so hard to include trans boys as women, as if they want to be and have been rejected their whole lives - you are actually making it worse.
Stop trying to show trans boys things to affirm their femininity.
Stop posting things and tagging trans boys in posts on facebook that involve gender stereotypes, misinformation towards gender identity and posts that perpetuate they are female.
Stop outing trans boys.
Stop making trans boys educate you. It is not their responsibility and they have to deal with gender identity all the time with everyone - you are not helping.
Stop being stupid. Ask yourself:
Is what I am doing going to hurt them?
Is what I am doing ignoring their identity and gender expression?
Is what I am doing going to make them uncomfortable?
Is what I am doing going to make their identity seem not important?
Is what I am doing backfiring my goals?
Is what I am doing making others misgender them?
Is what I am doing going to still make them feel like they are a girl?
Trans boys are not women. No matter if they have breasts or periods. No matter if they wear dresses or pants.
Just stop.
